The Personal Valet® clothes vitalizing system is a great way to care for your wardrobe and other household fabrics. While it doesn't remove visible dirt and stains, the system does smooth away wrinkles and clean odors greatly reducing time-consuming and costly chores like ironing and making trips to the dry cleaners. And the Personal Valet® system is safe for virtually all your wardrobe...from cottons, wool, and silk to rayon and polyesters... even beads, sequins, leather, and suede.
Can I put different fabrics in the Personal Valet® system at the same time?
The Personal Valet® system is designed to be a "daily-use" machine, enabling you to get an entire outfit ready-to-wear in about 30 minutes*. Therefore, it is safe to mix fabric types inside the machine and process them at the same time. The system offers different cycles for different fabrics. However, for best results, be sure to follow the instructions provided in the Personal Valet® system Use and Care Guide.
Could the Personal Valet® system harm any of my clothes?
Clothes with fur, faux fur, fleece, plastic, nylon, velour, velvet, or pleather should not be cycled through the Personal Valet® system. The Presiva® clothes care formula can collect on fur, faux fur, fleece and pleather fibers and dry into small beads during the freshening process. WhirlpoolTM and Procter & Gamble have tested literally hundreds of fabrics and have found this process to be one of the gentlest when it comes to caring for your clothes.
Will the Personal Valet® system burn or scorch my clothes?
No. The heating element in the Personal Valet® system never touches your clothes, eliminating the possibility of burning or scorching. Further, the Personal Valet® system reaches temperatures of only 120° to 140° F. In contrast, irons can reach temperatures of up to 350° F, so the Personal Valet® system is very safe for even your finest fabrics.
Presiva® Clothes Care Formula

If you would like, you can use distilled water as it works equally well.
